Germany’s justice minister, Sabine Leutheusser-Schnarrenberger, promised to have a look how she can give gay couples equal income tax rights.

At the beginning of this week, the highest german court ruled that the gouverment have to implement till 2011, that gay couples have equal tax inheritance rights. In 2001, registered partnerships were legalized in Germany, without offering the same benefits heterosexual couples have. For example, heterosexual marriaged couples in Germany access income tax breaks.
