In the U.S. state Maryland, a big discussion about a new law for gay- marriage inflamed.

The law, wich is going to open the marriage for gays and lesbians, could pass the Maryland parliament this week.

However, christian motivated conservatives did not gave up and are trying to stop the new law at the last meters. So the catholic church is advising their members to fast against gay marriage, and also other conservative organisations are trying to stop the new law. The democratic Gouverneur Martin O’ Malley allready promised to sign the law, in case it passed the parliament.

A new scandal concusses the catholic chirch. A italian reporter team filmed catholic priests having fun in a roman gay club.

According to the italian weekly news magazine Panorama, undercover reporter observed three priests, supported by the scene knowing gays. The three priests visited some well known gay- bars and had sex with other men.

Panorama says : “By day they are regular priests, complete with dog collar, but, at night it’s off with the cassock as they take their place as perfectly integrated members of the Italian capital’s gay scene.” They even filmed one of the priest having sex while wearing his cassock. The roman Catholic Rome diocese says yesterday that this article was made to damage the church.

The Vatican guidelines for interviewing new seminary candidates results in excluding the most gay candidates.

In every job you get interviewed before you are hired, even as a candidat for the catholic priest seminar. Most of the question you have to answer are psychological motivated to find out what kind of person you are and if you are qualified to become a catholic priest.

Now the New York Times reports that the new Vatican guidelines, changed in 2008, are aiming on finding gay members of the seminar and bar admission of candidates who “practice homosexuality“, even them who are celibate.
