Whats wrong with Apple?

After Apple made some negative headlines the last week by not letting gay apps to the AppStore, they are going forward.

Just a couple of weeks ago, Apple made bad headlines by not letting gay iPhone apps to their AppStore (look here). Not Apple is getting bad publicity again.

This time not because they don’t let gay iPhone apps to the AppStore, but because of letting homophobic iPhone apps straight to it. The lately approved iPhone app based on the “Manhattan Declaration“, which was created by catholic and evangelic christs and which found over a half million supporter in the last  year.

Are Gays really welcome to Apple ?

It seems like Apple does have a small problem with gays at the AppStore.

In the last past month, it seems more and more that Apple has a small problem with gays at its AppStore. Now the developer of the AppJack’d” reported, that they got a warning notice when they submitted their App to the AppStore.

According to this warning notice, it would be inadvisable to use the word “gay” in the despriction for the app and could lead to rejection from the AppStore. Untill now, it happens more than once that gay apps were removed from the appstore, in most cases the reasons for this were naked or pornographic pictures.

Tranny app angers homosexual scene

A new iPhone app, which was supposed to be funny, hadn’t that much fans.

A new iPhone app, called “Peekaboo Tranny“, angers the homosexual scene. The new app, which was supposed to be funny, transfers a tranny with a lollipop and in a absurd pose in the picture you just shot.

Now the “Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation” (GLAAD) complained about the new iPhone app. Apple, which has its own, very hard line of censorship, admitted the deprecatingly app to the appstore without any comment.

Again, there is a new PinkMap Version on it’t way to the AppStore, and with a little bit of luck it will be available to download next week.

The new PinkMap Version is send to the AppStore and waiting to be activated. So its time to give you an overview about the new features. Like always, there are the typicall bugfixes and a few improvements at the performence. Beside this there is

Your PinkMap! Team

While the summer is finally going to start and brings us sunshine and tropical termperatures the PinkMap Team is sitting inside the PinkMap Office and optimizes the new PinkMap Version.

Like everytime when a PinkMap Version leaves the Office there are a couple of changes to improve PinkMap and make it better, faster and more user friendly. And like always we removed some little problems, did bugfixing and some betterings.

Beside this there will be some new features at this version, too. So we over-worked the entire message-area and desgined it new. We also made it to reduce the apps starting time to the, amazing, half.

Finally the new PinkMap 2.5 Version arrived at the AppStore, and some of you might have seen the new killerfeature:  the new ” Location Check in Function”. You are now able to check in into locations with just one click via iPhone, and show everybody : Here i am!

If your profile is connected to Facebook, of course this message will appear on your Facebook Profile, too.

In the map you can see if you are able to check in into a location or not.If you can check in, the Lcoation is marked with a red number (Badge). There will be shown every Location in your area with a radius of  1,242 Miles, and in every location which is closer than 100 meters you will be able to check in directly

If there is another PinkMap User which checked in into your Location, you will get a push notification, so you can turn arround and wave to him if you like to. If you click at a Location, you can see in the Feed who checked in in the past and with the “Info” Button you can see who is checked in at the moment….

You are able to download the new PinkMap 2.5 Version here, and please do not forget to rate us. Thank you for supporting Gay Rights!

If something cool or funny happened to you with the new Location Check in Function, please feel free to write us. We will publish the best Storys and reward them with a small gift.

This weekend the new PinkMap Version finally arrived at the AppStore and is waiting to get downloaded. You can download it here…

As always there are the typical modifications like bugfixes and changes to make PinkMap more operable to you. But with this Version PinkMap gets much more stable and is 100 percent crash free.

Not in this PinkMap Version, but in the next one, you will have the new Check In function. There you can see when you are near to locations which are infixed at PinkMap and you will be able to check in  by using the Check In Button.

As always we hope you like the modifications and can’t wait to hear your feedback. If you have own ideas to make PinkMap better feel free to contact us here

After we over-worked and gave it to the AppStore again the new PinkMap Version is now available at the AppStore.

There are a couple of new Features in the new Version and we think you will like it. Beside the common improvements like the mending of Bugs and the improved performance you now have the option to exchange images in the chat. So you have the chance to change images with friends or your date without other people seeing your private pictures.

Beside the direct image exchange here are some other features:

  • User & Location search: You can now search for users & locations by their names and other information
  • New and faster Chat
  • New look: The walls where the users’ activity is presented have now more features (clickable links, simple reload) and are faster
  • Added user status icons
  • Added in app purchase: You can buy premium membership to support PinkMap! development. As premium member you won’t see any ads and have a crown in you profile picture to show others that you are supporting PinkMap
  • General bugfixes: The app should now run more stable and generally faster

At this place we need your help again: Please  write us your opinion about the new search function, the new version of PinkMap in general, your ideas and, of course, what you think could be improved at PinkMap!
