If you want it or not, every time you think about a country, you have a special cliche about them in the back of the head.

For example the british people and their bad tooth hygiene. For Germany, it is typical to wear leather trousers and drink a lot of beer. So it is not suprising, that the american commercial shows a pretty weird picture of the german gay community:
