In a historic decision, the U.S. Senate voted for the abolishment of the “don’t ask, don’t tell” order in the U.S. army. Because of the majority of the Republican party in the U.S. Senate, the decission was more than astonishing. After the the House of Representatives, which voted against “don’t ask, don’t tell” a few weeks ago, the Senate supported their decision. President Obama commended this decision and promised to sign the new law, which is going to abolish “don’t ask, don’t tell“.
