After it Fans shouted antigay chants at the gay Rugby player Gareth Thomas, the team has received a fine about 60,000 Dollar.

Last Year, Gareth Thomas became famous by beeing one of the first Rugby Player, which announced to be gay. Now, in March 2010 fans shouted homophobic and antigay chants on him. During Gareth Thomas second game for the Crusaders against the Castleford Tigers, Tiger fans started to shout the unacceptable chants!

Now the Rugby Football League declared Castleford guilty and adjudged the team to pay 60,000 Dollar retribution. Thomas‘ Manager announced, that “Today has been an historic day, Gareth Thomas is all about delivering positive messages and positive changes and, to that end, today was a huge step forward for Gareth and the world of sport.”
